It's all about priorities you see. It's been a fun week. Almost got the Italian apartment of our dreams - in the hisotic part of town, but missed out. So have modern one just on outskirts of town with views of open green space, hills nd vineyards and an old church. And an old village is just a km up the road. Which i get to bike through to work to avoid the busy main drag into town. So all good.
Will move out to our place on Monday once it has power and water. No gas till Wed, but cold shower will be ok for a few days. Getting the hang of things - picking up a few words here and there - start Italian lessons this week.
You'll never guess what we miss though - the famous Briscoes sales! The cheap stuff here is either really really crappy (like the fork would break the first time you washed it I'm sure) or it is not cheap at all. Hence why we have no stuff yet.
Have been drooling over the bikes in the bike shops - they are soooo amazing! Gee, don't I wish I was still on a lecturer's salary! And today I had the best day - a big shop with bikes AND climbing gear AND a boulder wall. So off with the shoes, kicked Franco and Alberto off the wall and showed them a thing or two! Then had a long discussion with a man about a church or something near where we live where they let you boulder on it's walls and some boulering and climbing - which happens to be within a 10 minute bike ride from our house - guess what we are doing tomorrow???? I'm so excited. James laughed and said 'ha, better wait till you see it". But how bad can it be? Stay tuned....
James left the camera card-downloader thingy in the pots which are out at our new place - so you wil have to wait even longer for photos now. Stiff gorgonzola.

"al'lora" is my latest word - it's like...well....we don't really have a word in english, but something that people say to fill in the silence when something is coming next....kind of like a polite 'ummmm' maybe.
Ciao for now.
